When I moved to LA I mistakenly thought I wouldn’t need any of my winter clothes until I went back to Chicago over the holidays to get them. But I was wrong about how quickly I’d adapt to the weather here and now get cold just the same as everyone else. :p It also gets pretty chilly in the Knickerocker sewing room, so DIY-ing a bunch of new sweatshirts has been at the top of my list.
I thrifted this Pokemon bedsheet at least a year ago (actually, I just checked and it was in May 2012 haha~) and have been waiting for the perfect project to use it on. I’m not really a fan of white in my clothing, so I struggled for a long while until I realized I could cut the Pokemon out and applique them to something - and so this sweatshirt was born!
And here’s a photo of my photographer in it!~ ♥
And here’s one more, face-covered-by-hair photo~ :]
As some of you may know from instagram, I’ve been having some problems with my eyes this month, and so has Toast! (Is it something to do with LA seasons?) But anyway, that is why there isn’t a clear view of my face in any of these photos, haha~
But good news is that my eyes are finally doing much better after seeing a dermatologist (even the cuts on my eyelids are pretty much gone)! I’d tried a handful of doctors and specialists over the last couple years and nothing really helped too much until now. I’m so so happy, and hopeful my eyes will stay healed this time!
